If i download halo combat evolved can i Play online?

I have 1300 microsoft points in my account and i kinda wanna buy halo combat evolved on the games on demand category on the xbox dashboard but when i click it it says multyplayer local but yet on the other ha d when i press kther games such as cod 4 or halo 3 or halo reach they all say multyplayer:none so kan i play it online or not?
