Would it be possible for Doctors to "reinforce bones" with Metal?

Yeah,Well I was thinking,as I' like to imagine humanity in the future and present. Would it currently be possible for a doctor to like "Inject" metal into a bone or align it with a bone so that the bone will litteraly be a "Metal bone"? So it can take two times the damage and deal two times the strength? I love thinking about this stuff! its fascinating! Would this be possible?
