How can I fix my laptop wireless without bringing it in to a professional?

I have a HP Pavilion 6000 laptop. My wireless switch to turn on and off used to work great, but now whatever way I turn the switch it stays orange. Is there anyway I can fix it without bringing it in to a professional to have it fixed. I don't want to pay a lot of money.
